Delete your Tagwell Auto account
You can delete your Tagwell Auto account and all data stored with it at any time.
If you never signed in
There's no account to delete. Everything is on your device. Use Vehicles, then Reset to clear a vehicle, or uninstall the app (or clear the website's data in your browser) to erase everything.
If you signed in to sync: in the app
- Open the Vehicles tab.
- Under Sync and share, tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted, then tap Delete my account, and tap again to confirm.
What is deleted
This erases your Tagwell Auto data right away. If you started the household, it is deleted for everyone in it, with all of its synced vehicles, records, documents and photos. If you joined someone else's household, you are removed and their records stay. What's saved on your own phone stays there until you reset or uninstall.
Your sign-in is deleted too, with one exception. Tagwell Auto and Tagwell Home, our app for the house, share one sign-in. If you use Tagwell Home with the same email, the sign-in is kept so your Tagwell Home records aren't lost, and the app tells you so. To delete that as well, email us as described below and say you want both.
If you can't use the app
Email hello@tagwellhome.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my Tagwell Auto account". We'll confirm by reply, then delete your household membership and any household you created, including its vehicles, records, people and photos, and your sign-in, within 30 days. If you also use Tagwell Home with that email, tell us whether to delete that too.
What we keep
Nothing about your vehicles. Apple or Google keep their own purchase records for Tagwell Auto Plus under their policies. Cancel Plus in your App Store or Google Play settings. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
Usage stats and crash reports are anonymous and not linked to your account, so there's nothing to delete there. You can turn them off in Vehicles, Customize, Help improve Tagwell Auto.
